Whats in Your Wallet?

What you have on you can mean life or death in a survival situation, items like watches, extra clothes, glasses, pocket knives, key-chains, belts, wallets, even people that go as far as survival bracelets can increase your morale and chances of surviving majorly. Everyone should consider what they carry everyday and how it may be used in a survival situation and I ask that you do this today(do not throw anything in your pockets real quick you do not normally carry this test is for you to evaluate yourself anyways not to show how you have everything possible in your pockets) Here is my evaluation and goals:
  • Normal clothes - warmth, shelter, covering up, all that obvious stuff
  • No matter the season I also wear a white T-shirt under my normal clothes - more warmth, can tear for many uses
  • Analog Watch - Time of day and what day, can be used as compass, small reflection
  • Wallet - Cash, ID, 4 bobby pins for lock picking, condom(used for holding anywhere between 2 and 7 gallons of water!)
  • Glasses - can't see more than an inch in front of me without em(sadly)
  • 3in. Buck knife(picture added) - knifes have millions upon millions of uses as well as the 5 feet of paracord attached to it
  • Lanyard with keys, victorinox pocket knife, nail clippers - pocket knife consists of scissors, tweezers, knife, toothpick, and file/screwdriver which obviously has many uses, nail clippers are helpful in cutting fishing line or anything small(and I personally hate having long nails), lanyard can be used as rope
  • Belt - not only does it stop myself from tripping over my own pants but can be used just like rope again
  • Cell Phone and Ipod - Easily get you out of a stick situation by calling 911 of course there are the down sides of no service or no battery
This is what I carry with me at all times and how I can see it being used, I would love to hear from you guys what you carry around, if there is anything you think I should add or change, and your thoughts. Next I will put a list of the goals I have set for myself to do to better prepare myself:
  • I intend to turn my watches watchband into a paracord watchband(I will get into all the paracord stuff at a different time)
  • Maybe turn my lanyard into paracord as well
  • Buy a T1 Business card, seems like a great invention it has a combination of 12 different tools and can fit in your wallet(picture added)
Alright well if you made it this far congratulations and thank you for reading! I hope this post made you think about "what if..." and how prepared you are, Thank you for reading!
